If I'm wanting to eat I ask myself two simple questions: Are you hungry? Are you willing to eat fruits or veggies? If the answer to both of those is yes, then I know I'm truly hungry and I eat something healthy. If the answer to either of those is no, then it's off to drink some water and do something else.

One of the simplest ways to curb overeating is to slow down, take 20 minutes to eat and then to resist picking at anything left on my plate, I cover it with a napkin. Out of sight, out of mind. It's one of the techniques I use most when eating out. I have found it to be very effective.
