Since I discovered the Power of 10, I've started answering the phone on my way to the elliptical. Usually, I'm so focused on the conversation that I don't even notice the time pass. . . Sometimes the call lasts less than 10 minutes but more often it is longer.
The Power of 10 - what a difference it makes!
If you don't have an elliptical - you can still MOVE IT any way you can . . . walk around your living room or office; do crunches or leg lifts while sitting in your chair. SparkPeople has a ton of short exercise videos and articles to use as guides.

My home phone service has been free for over two years. I use Google Voice and a simple device called an ATA (available from Linksys or many other companies). Setup is a bit involved but any college student today can help if you're not up to the task. Once you have your Google number it will ring all the phones in your home or any mix of land and cellular phones based on the caller, and you'll have call forwarding, call screening, voice mail, and many other options all for free.
Your voice mails will be transcribed and emailed to you automatically as well if you wish.
Instead of sitting or standing still while talking on the phone, I try to do a little exercising like marching or running in place. I have a cordless phone so sometimes I walk from one end of the house to the other or walk up and down the stairs. It's amazing how many calories you can burn during a 10 or 15 minute phone call! Also, its helps make the time go faster when you call a business and they put you on hold.
