I work at a pretty good sized church & sometimes I need to talk to the custodian. I can just call him, but if I'm not super busy & don't have someone waiting in my office, I'll walk to find him. Today I needed to find him & went down one level, across the building & up to floors, across the building again & down to the main level. The only problem was that he was going in the opposite direction at the other end of the building. I didn't find him but did get a mini-workout.

To sneak in some activity during the day at my sedentary desk job on the first floor of a three-story building, I do the following. When heading to the restroom, I go to the nearest staircase, go up to the top floor, walk across to the other side of the building, & go back down the stairs to the first floor. There I use the restroom, and then go back upstairs, back across the building, and back down to the first floor. Net result is 8 flights of stairs, done in two sets.
I work on a medical campus consisting of 3 buildings, 2 of which have stairs. To get those extra minutes in, I often walk to the main building, walk up then down the stairs, to the next building and walk up and down the stairs and then back to my office during my lunch break. 311
