I used to get so frustrated looking at my wt. loss ticker. Went to a new Dr. last week. As we discussed my weight, he asked me what my Goal wt. is. I gave him a low number equaling -75 lbs. He gently said, why not just get from Obese into Overweight BMI for now. Then get from Overweight into Healthy. Then at that time determine Final Goal. Then Maintenance. I came home and changed my SP Wt. Loss Ticker to the first goal. Much less daunting. My 4-step Goal Plan is such a relief. Break it down.

Any weight loss goal, small or large, can seem overwhelming, or even hopeless. I broke my wt. loss goal up into smaller mini-goals. Just focusing on that one smaller number, not the entire larger number. keeps it much more positive and manageable. 386248243
Smaller weight loss goals makes for bigger leaps on your ticker!
I have my weight loss goals divided into 50lb increments. To lose 150 pounds is daunting to say the least. My marker on my ticker would be moving so slow, I would not see the progress. So by making my first goal 50 pounds, it moves really fast. This motivates me especially when I don't see the changes on the scale as much as I'd like.
