Carbs give me energy! I wondered why I lacked sufficient energy until I started with sparkpeople a few days ago and found out that I wasn't eating enough carbs. What a difference carbs have made! For much of my life, I followed low carb diets, trying to stay slim, without knowing that they were depriving me of the energy I needed. I am adding whole grains, sweet potato, or potato to each meal and it is making a difference.
I get pains in my stomach when I eat gluten, and my Doctor suggested I avoid bread, so I have to plan ahead. I freeze individual portions of cooked brown rice, potato, and sweet potato. Puffed rice and some Peace Cereals work for me, too.
