I am going on vacation in a few weeks and wanted to save money so I made a goal for myself a few months ago to not spend more that $30 per day. It has really made me focus on not spending money randomly and I am really saving money--I have $1000 to take on vacation :)
Pay By Cash and just spend money that is really yours! Feel satisfied with what you have already and do not always want more. Mother Nature has taken so much away from so many people, Haiti, Japan, the floods in the USA, the fires, the tornadoes, the past hurricanes to name a few. Everything you own can be gone in less than a minute. Stop accumulating things...get by on less, stop wasteful spending and remember there is only wealth in health.
website called texthog. You can set up a free account that shows you a pie chart of your spending. It allows me to e-mail texthog using my smartphone, with info about how I am allocating money. Every time I buy , I e-mail texthog. Then I can keep track of spending each month
This tool "texthog" simply has increased my awareness about how I am spending money
