New research at The Harvard School of Public Health revealed that eating 2 1/2 cups of blueberries per week will lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Blueberries are low GI and have Manganese which helps convert the proteins, carbohydrates and fats in food into to energy. High in fiber it helps cholesterol too!
Blueberries are delicious frozen as a snack. Low carb, low calorie and lots of antioxidants. The blood sugar benefits of blueberries should not be surprising, blueberried may help reduce belly fat and are high in fiber.
