Taking Off The Mask.

Hit the re-start button a month ago. But, this is a different feeling this go around. I dropped the pretentions of being able to conquer these bad habits of poor food choices and why I make the emotional choices. I decided to take the mask off and ask for help. I googled how to stop cravings for sugars and breads, two of my biggest weaknesses. No more sugar drinks and bread for 30 days. And no beef after lunch. Wow ten pounds came off, woohoo! I started exercising by walking.

I've always been a breakfast eater, decided I needed to be SERIOUS about adding fruits/vegetables. My grandaughter was making Spinach Smoothies. I discovered they are very good for you (ignore the green color). Next I added a banana and/or yogurt to the smoothies to kick start my mornings. emoticon

    This hits home for me. I always think I can do it my way and I don't need help. I like the idea of taking off the mask and asking for help. Hate feeling vulnerable but doing it alone simply hasn't worked for me. Must give up the sugar and simple carbs.

    I am going to try this idea of taking off the mask. I will start with one week and one weakness of no potatoe chips for this week. Then I will try two weeks. Thanks for the great idea!

    Bread is a big problem for me as I grew up on mom's homemade bread and find it hard to eat a meal without it. How do you google a way to avoid bread
