Stop Berating Yourself




Remember that weight loss is a JOURNEY and no one is perfect. You WILL make mistakes. You WILL sometimes overeat. You WILL not work out. some days when you know you "should." That is all normal. And understandable. Don't berate yourself. Tell yourself, "OK I slipped. I won't do it again." Then mean it. That doesn't mean you starve and work out like a Marine. It means you return to your plan. When I believed these truths, I began to get healthy. And I started to learn how to stay that way!

  • For a long time..i would give up if i made mistakes...or if I only lost a small amount of weight a week , like a 1/4 pound for example, I would view it as failure. Now I have learned to just let it go and get right back on track., Dwelling on mistakes is setting yourself up for failure. emoticon - by BARBARACZOR
    I used to do that all the time, too. Now I hear other folks do it and it makes me sad. You deserve better from you :)
