Drinking something really sugary, or even just bad for you can open up to some other unhealthy choices later on in the day. I like to drink chocolate milk, for example, and I usually have at least a glass full. I know it's bad or semi-bad, so before I drink a glass of chocolate milk, I fill the cup that I'm going to use full of water. Drink the whole cup of water before filling it with chocolate milk or some other sugary drink, that is... If you're still thirsty after drinking the water.
There are times when I won't drink the chocolate milk after the water because the water quenches my thirst, and I decide I don't want the milk anymore. Hope this helps!

I buy fruits such as blueberries/strawberries/mago/pineapple/bananas and low fat yogurt. I got containers and measured each fruit and made different fruit combinations and freeze them. Each morning I open a container, add 1/4 cup yogurt and 1 cup milk or other dairy product and blend it up. Delicious and nutritious! ( I sometimes add 1/4tsp sugar) 4
I make each fruit batch 1-1 1/4 cups and it makes about 2 cups
Best thing I ever did was take 'the idea' to use measuring cups to control my portions. 1 Cup for protein 1 cup for starch/carbs and 2 cups for veg (Steamed, grilled, etc.) if it's a salad mixed - 2 cups (Then 1 cup after only if still hungry). This can be very easy and has helped me to curtail my portions down to a THIRD of what I USED to eat!
Pasta with sauce - 1 cup pasta 1/2 cup sauce (or if it's 'meaty' maybe reverse the measurements) Scrambled eggs for the family in a huge pan? 1 cup scrambled eggs! saute some spinach & Mushroom (dry fry) for the side!
