We can feel we've 'lost motivation' when the real issue is that we don't like what we are doing to reach a goal. Sometimes we try for challenges too ambitious. Sometimes we outgrow our methods & goals. The motive is ok; but the method needs tweaking! So: Assess goals and methods on occasion. Changing what we are doing can spark our fire! Motivation stagnates when we don't keep methods interesting and challenging to our current level....
Keep what you DO to reach goals as interesting to you in the "NOW" of your plan! How often should we revitalize the journey? Every time we feel we are doing things automaticaly or realize/believe we are 'not getting anywhere'

When cooking and baking I reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe down at least a third. Some recipes can even be made with no sugar at all. I started doing this because I can not stand the taste of the artificial sweeteners.
For recipes that you use frequently, you can taste test until you get a taste you like.
