No more January focus on "I can't....." (fill in the deprivation).
Today I will focus on what I CAN do good for myself, hoping to make every day a success by adding something I can "have" not focus on what I can't (eat, or do).Today I plan to eat 2 Fruits instead of one or none and take two 5 minute walks in the house, it's icy and I don't have a treadmill. My plan, keep it simple and successful! Be kind to others...and to myself! If I journal my success, maybe I will smile myself to sleep!

I find that starting New Year Resolutions a few days early makes it easier to stick with them. Knowing that you have already started removes some of the pressure from the "D" Day of January 1st, plus you have already proved to yourself that you could stick with healthy habits for a few days. So today, December 26th, is the first day of my 2014 New Year Resolutions! Not only will I eat healthy, exercise, spark... but also I will write down all of the other resolutions and the "2014 Plan".
This principle also applies to getting back on track. When I know I have been off track for a couple days, I tell myself I will get back on track "officially" tomorrow, however that I should start right away "as much as I can" to be more ready the next day. It takes the pressure of "tomorrow".
In 2013 I decided to commit to 100 hikes/ walks ( that doesn't include treadmill time ) for a yearly goal in 2014 ...so far its going great ...in fact I'm thinking of challenging myself to 100 days of doing something new or different like learning to play tennis , kickboxing , or eating fruit etc ...I'm going for 100 day streak :) whatever that may be
