Here is a little trick. If you have something in the house that is pulling you to it - change the package. I found that if I take the granola bar/cookie/trial mix - what ever it is that pulls you and place it in a plastic bag it does not have much of a pull any more. Just get rid of the fancy packaging (you can always cut out the calorie info and place it in the bag).

Every so often double check info on packages. I manually entered nutritional values for an item and about 2 month later the company must have changed the recipe to cut cost and it changed the nutritional values to lower values.
Well, I just started reading labels on all package foods that I "used" to buy....and I realize that there was very little food in these packages! Most of it was preservatives and things/words I couldn't even pronounce. Now I only eat fresh foods and very little prepared/package goods!
I've lost weight/fat....feel much better, energy level has been fantastic. And I'm sleeping well. My overall health has improved and my attitude is heightened something positive is happening to me though all of my changes! Can't explain it but I feel great!
