Build-In A Balance Exercise!

I am always looking for ways to add "exercise value" to every-day activities. I've started doing this mini balance activity every morning. When I get out of the shower, I like to put lotion on my legs and feet. In the past, I always sat on a chair to do this. Now, I stand up: I balance on one foot while holding the other foot in the air and applying lotion to it. To avoid getting lotion on the carpet, before putting my foot down, I put on a sock and shoe and tie the shoe. Then I switch feet.

More Information:

I am 60 years old, and as I see it, every small thing I can do, like this balance routine or taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work, will help me remain fit and healthy as I age. Even if you don't do lotion, you can still do the one-footed sock and shoe installation!
