If you don't like grocery shopping, don't buy any junk food when you *do* shop. It takes willpower.
You'll have saved yourself from the junk calories, you won't have junk food in the house, and you won't want to go shopping to get some junk food later (unless you really want to go out just to get junk food.)
I find that am not nearly as tempted by the chips and ice cream at the grocery store if I make detailed menus in my Nutrition Tracker while I am creating my grocery list.
I plan the next 7 days down to the last calorie. When I go to the store, I know that if I add a treat, something on my list must go to keep within my calorie limit. I remind myself that trading junk food for a healthy item does not help me reach my goal.
Occasionally I do decide on the junk food trade, but now it is a very conscious decision.
Avoid Temptation by not even Looking at those sales papers. If you don't Need any furniture or linens, why look at the sales for them and get tempted and spend money? Same thing for toys for kids and adults, and clothes, and food, and Everything. If you are not ini need of something, Avoid the ads!
You can also sign up for getting off of junk mail lists, and then you won't have as many ads coming into your home to begin with.334
