I love coffee but am not a tea drinker and know it's not a great idea to drink coffee right before bed but I do love a hot drink in the evening so I came up with a caffeine free alternative. I squeeze out the juice of a lemon (a Meyer lemon is best if you can find it). I add boiling water and calorie free sweetener. This hot lemonade is very satisfying on a cold winter night.

I keep a small box of Truvia (stevia plant all natural sweetener) in my purse, and an individual packet of Truvia in my wallet. When I eat out, rather than order the sugary lemonades offered on the menu ( which are usually made by mixing lemonade syrup and water), I order a large glass of water and lemon wedges. Then I squeeze the lemon wedges and add Truvia to my water - VOILA! I have made my own healthy, served-to-taste lemonade! (and I saved money!)
