Numbers come hard to me, especially calories. I've learned to label my food groupings with the calories involved as well. For instance, instead of (milk and cereal), I now have "Milk and Cereal 195." I have a food group named "GLOP" which is now "GLOP 250." By listing the calories with the food group, it's easier for me to remember how much I'm eating without having to go into the collection itself. (I haven't tried this with my "favorites," but that's next.)

I try to eat only things that are pretty easily quantifiable. If I can't log it into my Nutrition Tracker or determine the nutrition value, I don't eat it. Of course, this doesn't always work, but if I make it my general rule, it simplifies my nutrition tracking, making it easier to watch my calories.
At breakfast I take my multiple vitamin, fish oil capsule, vitamin E and calcium pill. This was time consuming clicking each one on my nutrition tracker every day, so I made a "grouping" with all these and named it " Breakfast meds". Now with one click in my groupings all my breakfast meds are added to my breakfast at one time.
