Moving from weight loss to maintenance does not mean you are free to eat whatever you want whenever you want. It is helpful to have a "healthy lifestyle journey" mindset when losing weight so when you reach your goal you are ready to continue the lifestyle.
I chose not to have any forbidden foods while losing weight, because I knew that this was for life. I was not willing to give up Lays potato chips (or any other food) for the rest of my life. (Besides that, I found that if I a certain food was off limits then that is what I craved and binged on.)
