From the time I wake up to an hour before bedtime, I choose to be active vs. not. This little modification is helping me add in extra steps walked and a little extra exercise seemlessly.
Examples of how I do this: 1) Park at the far end of a parking lot or garage 2) Choose activities like swimming vs. sitting at a lawn concert (where I might also visit a food truck!) 3) When tired or bored at work, I get up and walk 5-15min, esp. around 2-3pm 4) Invite friends to walk + catch up

Whenever I get the urge to snack on something or am about to sit down to a meal where I have the option of eating something I'm not supposed to, I go window shopping online to look at all the cute clothes I will be able to buy if I choose to make the right choices. This works anywhere nowadays, because even away from the computer I can still look it up on my phone.
When I'm craving ice cream, I usually buy a pint of Active Lifestyle ice cream. It has less than half the calories of my favorite Ben & Jerry's ice cream (and is usually 1/4 of the price!). There aren't nearly as many flavors, but it's still delicious! My favorite is Vanilla Berry with Granola. :)
I believe Active Lifestyle is a Kroger brand, so you may only be able to buy it if you have access to a Kroger.
