If you're hungry and you want a snack, divide the snack in smaller portions and eat 1 piece, then wait a couple of minutes, eat the next piece etc...
When I'm hungry, I eat an apple and cut it into 4 pieces. I eat the first piece, wait 5 minutes and then eat the 2nd one, etc. When I'm starting on my last piece, I don't even feel like eating it anymore. Sometimes I even stop halfway and save the rest for later, because I wasn't really hungry!

When we go out to a restaurant I always consult the nutrition plan of the restaurant or the "calorie king" book. Depending on the calorie count I divide my portions & request for a to go box before I start eating. It always works!!! Most places offer healthy food substitutes. Always plan ahead!!
Cook a Large Pot of Steel Cut Oatmeal & divide into portions
Cook a large pot of steel cut oatmeal on the stove and portion it out into individual amounts. In the morning, when you are running out the door for work, pop one in your lunch bag and then you can microwave it on your first coffee break. It will keep you going until lunchtime!
