I haven't found many people with my specific issue, but I love bubblegum and it had to be the sugar kind. I'd chew then discard after flavor ran out on to pop in another piece. Now I chew Glee gum. You can find it at Natural Foods stores. It stops the cravings and way less calories and carbs.
I can actually track the gum in my nutrition tracker so no more cheating.

Chewing gum is quite possibly, and quite literally, a lifesaver for me. Whenever I feel that craving coming on for something I don't need, I pop the gum in the my mouth and move on.
I ALWAYS have gum in my mouth to resist from eating the snacks we feed the children at work. I always have gum on me. Try to look for a sugar free gum, and it seems like minty gum distracts me from the food a lot more than sugary fruit gum would distract.
