I keep a pocket calendar in the bathroom and record my weight every week and then jot a monthly total at the bottom of the page. It keeps me focused and I can see at a glance the progress I have made. I lost 3-4 pounds a month, but was motivated by seeing how much progress I made in a year!

Keep a visual cue of your weight loss goal in front of you every day. You may not be able to "see" your progress every day when you look in a mirror but you will when you see your visual cue.
Take 2 identical glasses. In one glass place 1 penny (or marble) in the glass for every pound you have to lose. When you lose a pound, move your penny (or marble) into the other glass. Eventually, your "to lose" glass will be empty and you "lost" glass will be full and you'll be at goal!
