Use google calender, gmail it has a task feature you can use and the reminders are great. If you can invest in a smart phone android or even an iphone you can keep your world on your phone along with your computer. and sparkpeople have apps for android, blackberry and iphone

I have rearranged some closets and my kitchen cupboards more than once when the organization just wasn't efficient. Keeping like items together, items visible, and labelling (some) items helps me know what I have, when I'm running low, and helps everyone know where something goes.
