This Sparked Me!

Even if you've eaten garbage all day, and you're feeling down on yourself, just log in. Collect your points, read articles, and remember why you're doing this. I always log in and it always helps me get back on track, even if I gorged on cookies at lunch! emoticon

I agree, when I follow this advice I always do better. If I log in on a bad day, it gives me motivation to start the next day off strong. If I log in on a good day it makes me feel really good about myself.

I have my home page set to Spark people so that every time I get on the computer, I see it. Some days it makes me feel guilty, other days, it motivates me. But, as long as I keep it right in my face, it helps.

great advise ... after all it's not a competition here and your journey has false starts , steps forward , steps backward name it ! It is all good

I agree completely. It used to be that if I overslept and didn't run in the morning, I would feel like there was no point to logging in. But when I did log in, even with no fitness to track, I feel like it keeps me accountable and I always get something out of it.

This has also helped me get back on track in the two years that I've been a Sparkmember. Thanks for sharing this!

I completely agree with this strategy. I try to check in every morning and evening so that I stay honest with myself about what I'm doing. Spark People is working for me, but only when I'm here. If I stay away for a few days, the bad habits creep right back.
KAYMOM 5/20/2010 8:43:00 AM
