Make Mini Goals

This Sparked Me!

Beginning I had a weight loss of 55 lbs. to lose, it seemed so daunting so I did smaller goals of 5 to 10 lbs. and celebrated each. Mentally, its a lot easier to stay on track looking at smaller feats than the larger one at hand.

MORE INFORMATION:
Normally I would have given up before this point because the large goal seems so daunting constantly staring in my face. I had my mini goal and my overall written in a journal that I kept and watched my overall shrink as the months went on, now I have 13 more lbs. to go until I've reached my goal!

I do the same thing. I just took it 10 pounds at a time in the beginning and now that I am closer to my goal, I'm taking it 5 pounds at a time.

I think it's so important to have a manageable goal!

I have a large amount of weight to lose, too and thinking about it all in one go is just too daunting. However, in little bits, I'm already 56 lbs. less than my highest weight.

I still have 15 lbs to go to my August goal. I'm hoping to beat that, then move on to the next.

Thanks for posting. emoticon
