I have a life list as I understand life is too short not to enjoy and be happy. I've listed places I'd like to visit (as I enjoy traveling) and decided at least do one big trip a year; one overseas and one within the U.S. as there are some beautiful places right here at home.
Try it as for you, it might be doing something for yourself, a task you'd like to accomplish and do it, a hobby you'd like to learn a talent you'd like to pursue. Stop waiting on other people and make it happen for yourself.

Sometimes, if you keep on doing what you're always done, you're going to get what you've always gotten. Who wants that?! Check your "life list" and make some things happen. I went skydiving for the first time and loved it! Didn't flinch, just did it.

Whenever I feel myself slipping back into my old habits of self deprecation I make a list of all the good changes I have made and positive things going on in my life. This really does help to bring my self esteem back up!
I get up in the morning and remind myself that how wonderful my life is. I start listing all the things in my life I am grateful for. I can go on for hours. Life is too short on dwell on the the "have nots" instead of the "haves"
