Motivational Quote - I can feel the wind go by when I run. It feels good. It feels fast.
SparkPeople Translation
Have you ever wondered how a person can run a marathon or jog for their daily exercise? Have you heard runners talk about getting a “runner’s high?” Many people feel awesome when they run. It gives them a chance to let go, forget about their worries, concentrate on improvement, etc. If you have been thinking about starting an exercise program and don’t know what kind to start…running may work for you. You always need to consult your physician before starting a new exercise regiment, but once you’ve gotten the ok, running can work for the majority of people. You might start by doing a combination of running and walking to build your foundation. You can then slowly work up the intensity. One of the best things about running, jogging, or walking is that speed isn’t essential to feeling the “runner’s high.” Simply feeling the wind go by can give you the feeling that you are going really fast, working very hard, and conquering the world. If you decide to set up a program that includes running…be prepared to not give up and to take it slow. Too many people go out on day one and run until they can’t run anymore. They wake up on day two so sore that they never want to wear their running shoes again. Building a solid foundation is the key to long-term success.
