I have never liked having my picture taken, and it was never about my weight, even when I was at my heaviest. I just don't have a photogenic face, I look like a "horse face" in just about every picture that's been taken of me. Report
I seldom like the pictures I take, but this article has given me another perspective. I want my grandchildren to see that they had fun with their GMom when they were small. I'll get used to how I look in pictures because it is the way I look !!
My father died when I was 12. I have 2 pictures of him. My mother said that he did not like to have his picture taken. I am in my 40's and would give anything for pictures of him. I think it is true of most of us that we do things for the ones we love that we wouldn't do for ourselves. As a person who avoids cameras it's not too far of a stretch to add having my picture taken to that list. Report
i think it may be a roller girl thing, but I LOVE the camera. LOL. Report
As a hobby photographer I really really hate it when people run from the camera. I do my best to show people in the best possible light and yea when I see a picture of my sister I don't see my fat sister, I see my sister.

For whatever reason back in the day my aunts thought it was cute to run from the camera. We have some video of them doing this and they look far more silly than if they had just smiled and waved. As a result of this there are very few pictures of them around today.

That being said it was a picture of me at a 5k that got me to join sparkpeople. Report
Still not letting my picture be taken. It's not good. Report
The one about having photos taken brought tears to my eyes, and the message re: why we exercise was good too. I had figured out for myself that time on the internet is making my life seem too busy (we don't have a TV). I am constantly looking to rein in internet time and keep it to things that are truly profitable.
I did love the one on pictures. We need to get over ourselves sometimes and realize what is important. Report
The article that stood out to me was the one on have your picture taken. I absolutely hate my picture taken. After reading the article I am going to try and get over it. My daughter always wants to take a picture of me and I never let her. She is always saying if something happens to me, she won't have any pictures of me. Report
Great selection of articles this week! The one on photos really hit home. My mother has a picture on her refrigerator of me with my sister that I absolutely hated -- until my sister died. Now I'm so glad she has a picture of the two of us laughing together when Sue was still healthy. Report
I don't like taken pictures. Report
